Backstory

The ’72 was previously owned by family, I had always admired how original the truck was and how well optioned it came from the factory. Before owning this ’72, I had owned a ’70 K20 and another ’72 half-ton short bed. I had always thought that a truck like this one would be worth restoring. I purchased the ’72 in 2007, the family members that owned it before me had owned it for approximately 10 years. It is believed to be purchased locally in Phoenix and had two prior owners. The first owner owned the truck for a relatively short period of time, the second owner for about 20 years.

This is a rough approximation of the ownership timeline.
